Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Oak Mountain State Park pump track on Wednesday, May 23 at 5:30pm. This will commemorate all of the trail work BUMP has completed since Oct 2010:

Boulder Ridge, West Ridge, BUMP Connector (Oct 2010 - Jul 2011)

Jekyll & Hyde (Jul 2011 - Nov 2011)

Lightning (Dec 2011)

Pump Track (Mar 2012)

That's nearly 10 miles of trail and an 18k square foot pump track in just under 1.5 years!

I tried to match it up as best I could with what people put on the sign up sheet at the meeting. If there is a problem just let me know. If you can only do Sunday, just show up at 7AM. Their needs for the trail runs are not as big. The sheet is only for Saturday.

http://www.usacycling.org/progrt/    2012 Pro Mountain Bike Gravity Tour, venues to watch some DH race disciplines.  

these race disciplines are fewer and farther between venues than more mainstream/common XC races (because XC discipline can occur on a variety of trail types and don't require a specific DH trail or ski lift)  

BMX racing might be a local opportunity to compete, perhaps.
