The first ever multi-club effort to sponsor an event was a success. On an absolutely beautiful fall day at Oak Mountain State Park, 39 participants took on the unorhodox,  roughly 12.5 mile course of the Blood Rock Ex. Racers, spectators and volunteers were treated to a waffle breakfast courtesy of Team CCR. David Meadows, competing in the solo men division, crossed the finish line first in 1:21:42. The team of Doug Goodwin and Nicole Thurmond lead all relays with a time of 1:32:45. The BREX was all about raising funds for the BRIDGE THE GAP trail expansion and giving away swag. By all accounts the goal was accomplished.
