Having good trails to ride is a privilege we can not take granted. For all those times you found that white-knuckling
dirt ribbon or that steady climb up to a breath taking view or did that great race through the woods, someone had to take the time and build
the trail. Without them, mountain biking would be pretty boring. If they are poorly built or not maintained, they
aren't much fun and harm the forrest.
BUMP is first and foremost of group of riders just like you. We also spend a lot of time keeping the trails at Oak Mountain and Trussville
from becoming the reasons why some riding spaces close. Each month we set aside a day, or weekend depending on the task, to work on keeping the trails
in the best shape possible.
You Can Help!
Our workdays are usually the first weekend after the first Wednesday of the month.
There are no special skills or time commitments required, just a willingness to swing a hammer, use a rake or move some dirt. We'll even feed you! Each month, it's a different task, a different
part of the trail, a different way to make sure our trails stay open. Every little bit helps. So check the calendar for the next work day and come on out.
